The Automotive Technological Innovation Centre of Navarre assists companies of the sector to be more competitive, increasing their research, development and technical innovation (R&D) capabilities.

Its differentiation lies in a edging equipment. It holds at its premises a road simulator , one of the very few in the world and unique in Spain, which allows reproducing in a test bench a vehicle and its components (chassis, suspension, etc.) behaviour on the road.

With an international scope, CITEAN focuses its activity in four lines of activity: structural design and analysis, durability and fatigue, vehicle kinematics and dynamics, and noise, vibrations and harshness. CITEAN tackles every phase of the development of new products and insists on the optimization of the conceptual design, virtual simulation and the verification and validation through tests.

Its vision is to be recognised an International Centre of Excellence by 2012, a reference in the technologies of its speciality. Therefore, all its resources and strategies are directed towards generating knowledge which permits the anticipation of the technological demands of its clients.
